Bad weather and Snow in Paris -December 2010- almost Normal Situation

Despite the snowfall in this period of late November-early December, the situation of flights at airports in Paris (France) remains fairly good.

  • At the airport of Beauvais-Tillé are numerous cancellations, but not directly caused by the snow falling on the airport in Paris. In fact, the cancellations are coming from and departing to destinations most affected by bad weather (Northern Europe). So for those from Italy with Ryanair to land at Beauvais there should be no great risks, if not some minor inconvenience due to the chaos in the terminal for stranded passengers, and the delays from other flights. In any case, you should check the website of Ryanair or Wizzair the status of your flight.
  • in the airports of Roissy Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports, where planes land Airfrance, Easyjet and Alitalia, air traffic is much more disturbed because of the weather. Look at the flight info on the website of the Paris airports or directly on the website of your airline. Long delays (even a couple of hours) can be expected on many planes coming into and leaving the Italian cities.

This situation is repeated on December 1 and December 2 today, but it can still continue during the next days of the week that is expected to snow and fog in the Paris region and the rest of France. The French Civil Aviation Authority has also requested the cancellation of about 25% of flights at airports in Paris to better manage air traffic. Fortunately, there are few canceled flights involving connections Paris-Italy.
